English is the most widely used language in the world today. It’s the only ‘international’ language in the true sense of the term, and it’s a fact that learning English can open a world of opportunities for a person.
First of all, a large part of the information industry uses English. This means a wealth of knowledge and information on the internet is available in English and a large amount of books are available in English.
It is considered the international language of communication. So much so, that if two people from different language speaking countries meet at an airport for a business meeting, one instinctively expects that they will communicate in English!
In the age of globalisation, you cannot afford to be cutoff if you want to go far in the world, and from a professional point of view as well, having a command over the English language is a definite asset.
Learning English need not be a daunting prospect. It’s a relatively easy language to learn. And its ubiquitous presence in the world can only make learning the language simpler. The structure of the English language is largely intuitive. For example, plurals of most words are simply the same word with an added ‘s’, and there are no complicated gender dependant articles.
Learning English is definitely worth the effort, time and money. After all, education may cost you, but so does ignorance! There are a whole host of courses to suit you and this can be used for holidays trips or even for business.
