Braich Goch is a historic inn dating back to 1572, situated in the heart of rural Wales just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the Midlands. The Braich is adapted to cater for all outdoor activity enthusiasts and is the perfect base for walking, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, cycling breaks and much more. We are situated in the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park, only a few miles from Cadair Idris and the numerous and varied walking, cycling and mountain biking routes and canoeing rivers that the area has to offer. The Dyfi Valley is perfect for a wide range of activities to suit all levels and abilities. From rambling in the hills to more serious mountain walking and climbing; from gentle cycling with spectacular views to specifically built downhill mountain biking tracks: ( and don't forget the Dyfi Enduro Mountain Bike event ) gentle canoe trips along peaceful rivers to white water kayaking - the area offers activities for everyone. For families there are many & varied places to visit such as the Corris Craft Centre & King Arthur's Labyrinth, the Centre for Alternative Technology, The Corris Railway & the historic town of Machynlleth. For information on 'What's on' then go to the Dyfi Diary web site. Then again if you just want to relax and experience the peace and quiet of the valleys and hills or stroll around the village of Corris then look no further! The Braich Goch Bunkhouse and Inn is also a leading player in the Corris Music Festival in August/September. E-mail: annbottrill@aol.com |
